A script can be used to import and export data using the MapInfo® MIF/MID interchange format. The MapInfo® MIF/MID format is an ASCII format, using two files. The MapInfo® MIF file contains the layer structure, map projection and the graphics. The corresponding MapInfo® MID file contains the attribute values in a comma separated format.
